The ratio of adults to children in a class is high. The minimum would be a teacher and a teaching assistant. Additional adults join the class if the child has a 1-1 for the lesson.
1-1 support is offered to children who need the intensive support either to access their learning, social development or both.
All children are required to wear their school uniform with pride. The uniform promotes equality, reduces distractions, enhances focus, and creates a sense of unity and belonging. Please read the Behaviour Policy on the website.
We offer the typical range of subjects as other schools. These are divided into Core and Foundation subjects. Our Foundation Subjects are unique and only offered in our school. Please read the Curriculum Plan on the website.

The school does not have twilight training sessions. Pupils leave school at 1:30pm every Friday after which staff undertake training and development sessions.
The Trustees are committed to developing every adult that works in the school and opportunities are provided to progress one’s career should they wish. We firmly believe in the adage ‘grow your own’.
No class is larger than 8 in the academic year 25-26.
